★Hallo there. I'm a 23 year-old Psychology student, but my other interests include gaming, anime, and other aspects of nerd-ness. Also, fashion and cute, girly things in general are awesome. I'm a... feminist in training? I call myself a feminist, yeah, but I'm constantly learning new things. I guess that never really stops though, does it? lol I lean toward intersectional feminism. I'm a WOC, straight, cis, able-bodied and pro-choice. If you aren't interested in those things, you probably shouldn't follow my blog. I'm working on myself to become the best ally that I can, so sorry if I say something super shitty. I use TWs whenever I can remember, but I'm still trying to figure the concept out so do keep that in mind. I also have a Sailor Moon blog and a Harry Potter blog. :)
THINGS I DON'T BELIEVE IN: Reverse racism, misandry, cisphobia, heterophobia, minority privilege, and any other bullshit the powerful in society want to cry about. ;P

when the “bindi” tag is 80% white and 20% desi then something is clearly wrong
when the “bindi” tag is 80% white people hating on desi women for calling them out on their bullshit and 20% desi women defending themselves, something is clearly wrong

"Honestly, don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t care for stupid things like abortion rights or women’s rights. I mean, yeah, they’re important, but I think that politicians should focus on real issues. All the other social issues are just a waste of time to think about. "

white boys who respond to criticism of racism and sexism by ominously saying that there are ‘bigger problems’ scare me. like what is this big secret problem and why won’t anyone tell me about it? are we going to be eaten alive by mutant sharks? are oranges secretly poisoning us? who knows. the white boys, apparently.[M/N: ‘I mean, yeah, they’re important…’ c.f. ‘I don’t care about stupid things like abortion rights or women’s rights.’ Silencing tactics and cognitive dissomancy at its finest.] (via shitrichcollegekidssay)

"If your ancestors cut down all the trees, it’s not your fault, but you still don’t live in a forest. "
Pam Oliver, a professor in the UW-Madison sociology department, explaining the historical roots of racism in the United States to her undergraduate students (mostly middle-class and White). I try to use this when I teach race now, too, to get past the defensive “but why are you BLAMING ME” reaction. (via cabell)
THIS. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.
To all the white people who say that they shouldn’t have responsibility in racism because they’re ancestors and not them who participated in slavery, think about this!
So, if you guys don’t want to grab a shovel and help repopulate the forest, I can’t make you, but then stop getting mad when people look at your ancestry and your actions and think you’re a bag of feces.

The catalyst for Hepler’s abuse was a six-year-old interview in which she admitted she didn’t enjoy combat in games. This was enough for fans to blame her for unpopular changes in Dragon Age II, describing her as a ‘cancer’ that was destroying BioWare.
‘I was shown a sample of the forum posts by EA security,’ says Hepler ‘And it included graphic threats to kill my children on their way out of school to show them that they should have been aborted at birth rather than have to have me as a mother.’
Is it just me, or do gamers automatically blame and female employees they can name when they think shit’s gone wrong?
